
Mike heads instruction at all of The Lyle Anderson Companies courses, but his home base is at
Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club. Golf Magazine lists Mike among the Top 100 Teachers
in America,” and a Golf Digest poll ranks him among America’s 50 Greatest Teachers.
Mike is known for his philosophy that stresses the importance of physical fitness and nutrition
programs, which are integrated with golf instruction. He’s one of only a few golf instructors in
the United States on staff at Golf magazine. Also, as Director of Instruction for Jack Nicklaus
Golf Centers in Japan in the 1990s, he was featured monthly in Golf Digest Japan.
Mike has been a guest lecturer for corporate functions throughout the United States as well as for
the PGA National Coaching and Teaching Summits and has appeared numerous times on The Golf Channel
as a guest instructor. Mike was a college All-American at Weber State University, and he’s
competed in many professional events, including the 1988 PGA Championship and the 1982 and 1986
U.S. Opens.
