Fairways that are wide and friendly. Green speeds that are faster than at some major tournaments. Inspirational vistas that delight the senses.
Welcome to Prospector.
The course, which opened in 1998, combined the creative skills of Jack Nicklaus and his son Gary. The designers have delivered a community-based course that’s enjoyable for a broad range of golfing skills, and still sought after by professionals.
It’s been the site of the 2002 Countrywide Tradition tournament and is now the annual home of the LPGA Safeway International. And recently Prospector was selected by Golfweek magazine as one of the “Top 100 Residential Courses.”

Of all the majors around the world that I’ve played in, these are the finest playing surfaces I’ve ever played on.
