Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club Bolsters Staff with Tennis Professional Justin Haag

Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, a private golf course community 30 minutes east of Phoenix, has added tennis professional Justin Haag to its staff as Director of Tennis. In this role, Haag will be responsible for managing and elevating the tennis program for the Club’s members through private lessons, group clinics and organizing tennis tournaments and social events.

“I look forward to joining the Sports Club staff and sharing my love for the sport of tennis with the members of Superstition Mountain,” said Haag. “Alongside the other fitness programs and amenities, a more robust tennis program will build friendships, create memories and promote health and wellness among members.”

A veteran of the sport, Haag brings more than 23 years of experience – including nearly a decade of coaching – to the gated golf course community. Haag began tennis at a young age and started competing in elementary school. Haag’s talent and early success would allow him to play on the regional, national and international level in high school and he continued his tennis career at Eastern Illinois University (EIU,) a NCAA Division 1 program. Most recently, Haag coached alongside esteemed tennis instructors in Arizona, assisting junior athletes as they prepare for college and professional levels.

“As Superstition Mountain continues its growth as a premier private golf club and gated community, we are always looking for ways to elevate our Club and provide resort-style living for our members,” said Mark Gurnow, General Manager of Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club. “Justin’s addition to our Sports Club staff will advance our tennis program and offer another means for our members to live an active lifestyle.”

Offering a full-service fitness and wellness program to its members, the Sports Club at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club features state-of-the-art cardio machines, free weights, tennis and pickleball courts, a lap pool and a variety of fitness classes including yoga, Pilates and circuit training taught by a team of certified instructors and personal trainers.
