Arizona Labor Day Weekend - Gearing Up for Fall

With Labor Day weekend quickly approaching, the summer season is officially coming to a close. There are plenty of ways to enjoy the final days of summer around the Phoenix, Arizona area and here at our private, golf course community. Before you begin gearing up for fall, here are a few ways to consider spending the long, holiday weekend.

Attend a Diamondbacks Game
Lucky for us Arizonans, the Arizona Diamondbacks are in town throughout Labor Day weekend. Watch our local team face off against the Los Angeles Dodgers in a four-game series Thursday through Sunday. The Diamondbacks will continue playing at home in an afternoon game on Monday against the San Diego Padres.

If you have a furry friend who’s been itching to watch some pro baseball, bring your pet along for the Bark at the Park event for the Labor Day game. Tickets for attendees and their dogs are available for purchase in select ballpark locations. Find more details about the popular canine events here.

Play Golf
September is the season for golf course overseeding, so Labor Day weekend is the perfect time to fit in some golf rounds before course closures begin. Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is home to two beautiful Nicklaus Design golf courses. Challenging and playable for golfers of all ages and skill levels, a weekend on the course is one of the best ways to celebrate the end of summer. Before you head out to play, visit our golf shop to find all of your equipment and apparel needs.

Visit Odysea’s Splash Bash
If you’re spending the weekend with your kids or grandkids, consider heading to the Splash Bash at the Odysea Aquarium in Scottsdale. Held Saturday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., this family-friendly event is a great way to have a fun weekend with your whole crew. The event will feature giant waterslides, endless foam parties, a water squirter battle zone and plenty of other exciting water activities. Day tickets and three-day passes are available for online purchase.
