September Golf Events in the Valley

The weather may be starting to cool off but the golf excitement is heating up! The Arizona Golf Association (AGA) has two thrilling golf events in September and at Superstition Golf and Country Club, we are looking forward to kicking off a great fall season at our luxury Phoenix golf club.

The 2016 Senior Cup Series culminates in this month’s championship. Competitors in the series have been garnering points throughout the season based on performance from previous tournaments in the series. Players who have earned enough points to qualify will be invited to participate at the championship. The event will be held at the Alta Dena Mesa Country Club on September 15, 2016 and begins at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start. Come out and enjoy the conclusion of this series with some of the best golf you’ll see in Arizona.

Rounding out the month of September is the first major tournament of the 2017 season. Hosted at the Golf Club of Estrella, the Arizona Four-Ball Championship (Divisional) will be an exciting way to start the year. The event will be held on September 24-25 in Goodyear, Arizona. The tournament will be 36 holes of Four-ball stroke play and will be open to those holding an active membership with the AGA. Deadline to register is September 16, 2016.

Be sure to mark your calendars for October 1 to enjoy spectacular golf and views during the 2016 AGA Golf Day held at the Stoneridge Golf Course in Prescott Valley, Arizona. Register to compete in this two-person scramble, beginning at 7:30 a.m., by September 26, 2016.

There is plenty to look forward to this fall as the Ryder Cup kicks off September 30 with Team USA taking on the European Team at Hazeltine National Golf Course in Chaska, Minnesota. For more information about the AGA, additional events and member benefits, please visit:
