Upcoming Golf Events In Arizona

Golf is absolutely one of the best things to do in Phoenix during the Fall/Winter season. Cool weather and clear skies make it the perfect time to hit the links on one of our Nicklaus designed golf courses or test your skills in one of these upcoming golf events.

Prescott Center for the Arts 50th Anniversary Golf Tournament & Fundraiser
When: October 15
10:30 a.m. check in, shotgun start at noon
Where:  Capital Canyon Club, Prescott, Arizona
What: The charity tournament will be held in a 4-person scramble format, singles and twosomes are welcome and will be paired with other golfers to make a full team. Funds raised will go towards the  Prescott Center for the Arts Capital campaign to fund construction of a new theatre/multipurpose facility and renovate current buildings.

Veterans Day Desert Classic
When:
November 11, 8 a.m.
Where: Whirlwind Golf Club at Wildhorse Pass (Chandler)  
What: This scramble-style charity tournament benefits Folds of Honor. The nonprofit provides scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and disabled service members. Dan “Smackintosh” McIntosh will be on the course offering players a “hole in 2” competition for the chance to win two nights at Pebble Beach Lodge.

Southern District Women’s Golf Association – 2019 Fall Partners Tournament
When: November 18 & 19
7 a.m. registration, 8:30 a.m. shotgun start 
Where: Tucson National 
What: Open to AWGA and SDWGA members, the tournament will feature Stableford scoring and a maximum handicap of 36. Day one will be played on the Catalina course and day two on the Sonoran course. Deadline to register is November 11. The first 60 teams will be accepted for play, remaining entries will be placed on a wait list. 

AGA Holiday Mixer Tournament
When: December 2
7 a.m. registration, 8:30 a.m. shotgun start
Where: TPC Scottsdale – Stadium Course 
What: The tournament will feature 18 holes of shamble format golf. Mixed teams will consist of four players (two men and two women) with at least two players being current AGA members. The $200/player or $800/team entry fee includes green fees, cart fees, tee prizes, range balls and awards.
