The golf season is picking up as Arizona plays host to numerous tournaments across the Valley. With beautiful weather, the Arizona Golf Association (ACA) has exciting golf events planned, and the Valley will be on the national stage for the “best show on grass,” this month. Here at Superstition Mountain Golf & Country Club, we are looking forward watching the fierce competition across the Valley and beginning an amazing spring season at our golf course communities in Gilbert, AZ

2018 Waste Management Phoenix Open
Dubbed “the people’s open,” the Waste Management Phoenix Open has brought the attention of the golf and sports world to Arizona. The annual tournament pits some of the PGA Tour’s top golfers against each other in a multi-day tournament at TPC Scottsdale. Unlike many competitions, the Phoenix Open celebrates fun in unique ways, turning the week-long event into a large party with concerts, food and beverage demonstrations, vendors and a celebrity pro-am. Last year, the event shattered records, drawing more than 655,000 attendees and pumping $389 million into the Arizona economy. The 2018 Open kicks off January 29 and is one golf event you won’t want to miss.

2018 Tatum Best Ball
Head south to Tucson, February 10-11 for the 2018 Tatum Best Ball Championship at the Randolph Golf Complex. The two-person, best ball AGA sanctioned tournament pits 80 teams against each other, with finishers eligible to receive 2018 AGA Players Cup Points.

2018 San Tan Amateur
Competitors will go head-to-head at the 2018 San Tan Amateur held at the Las Colinas Golf Club in Queen Creek. The field of 96 golfers will face the two-day challenge in a 36-hole individual stroke play championship. Come out February 17 and 18 to enjoy a weekend of great golf surrounded by desert scenery.

There is plenty to look forward to this year as the golf season reaches full swing. Check out our calendar for other member events on and off our two Nicklaus-designed golf courses. For more information about the AGA, additional events and member benefits, please visit www.azgolf.org
