Upcoming Golf Tournaments in Arizona

As we enter spring, golf season is heating up here in Arizona and there are plenty of events happening across the Valley that are sure to keep you busy. Whether you’re looking to play or just want to watch the action, here are a few upcoming events to check out.

FORE! Paws Golf Tournament
If you’re an animal lover, this event if for you. Head out to Camelback Golf Club in Scottsdale for the 2019 FORE! Paws Golf Tournament on April 5. All proceeds go toward Gabriel’s Angels, an organization that supports at-risk children through pet therapy. Registered golfers will be provided breakfast and lunch. The tournament also includes a silent auction and raffle tickets, Pet Therapy Teams on the course, a golf cannon and tournament prizes.

2019 City of Phoenix Championship
The Phoenix City Golf Championship will take place April 5 through April 7. Hosted by a different golf course each day, the tournament will be held at Aguila, Papago and Grand Canyon Golf Courses. Participants must have an established USGA handicap/index for two consecutive months preceding the tournament to be eligible for registration. Each entry includes green fees, range balls, a tee prize and awards.

Annual Arizona Chapter MOAA Charity Golf Tournament
Held at the Orange Tree Golf Resort in Scottsdale, the Arizona Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America will host its charity golf tournament on April 25. All funds raised will go toward the chapter’s scholarship fund to support Arizona State University’s Navy, Army and Air Force ROTC students. The scramble format event is open to anyone wishing to participate and spectators are welcome.

31st Annual Memorial Skeeter McFee Golf Tournament
Join the Phoenix Squaw Peak Rotary for the annual Skeeter McFee Tournament. The four-person scramble will take place April 27 at Stonecreek Golf Club in Phoenix. The day will include skill and raffle prizes along with free lunch, beer and a goody bag. Tournament registration will begin at 6 a.m. followed by a 7 a.m. shotgun start.

MDA ALS Golf Classic
Spend a Wednesday up at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale for the MDA ALS Golf Classic. Benefitting more than 2,280 families in the Phoenix and Tucson area affected by ALS, the event will be held May 8. Registration includes a tee gift and entrance to the 19th Hole Celebration where attendees can enjoy lunch, cocktails, entertainment, a raffle, a silent auction and the awards ceremony. Both foursome and single-entry options are available.
