There are many perks of living at our private golf course community. Along with resort-style amenities and two outstanding Nicklaus Design golf courses, Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club is located near one of Arizona's many hidden treasures, Saguaro Lake. Check out a few benefits of living near the beautiful desert oasis.

Day Trips
Valley residents have access to a variety of destinations around the state that make for great day trips. Located less than 45 minutes from the Club, Saguaro Lake is a perfect spot to spend an afternoon. Whether you plan an entire day on the lake or just want to explore the area for an hour or two, this oasis is close enough for any visit to be worth the short drive.

It's also a great place to take friends and family who are visiting from out of state. After showing off your golf course community and all that the Phoenix area has to offer, surprise them with a quick road trip to the lake. They may even be surprised to learn that Arizona does, in fact, have bodies of water.

Camping
Offering multiple nearby campgrounds, Saguaro Lake is great for tent camping or those who opt for an RV. If you like to camp AND boat, check out Bagley Flat Campground and Boat Dock. Known for being accessible by boat only, Bagley Flat offers 10 camp units on the Lake and a fishing dock. This spot is especially nice in the summer due to its abundance of shade. The campground doesn’t accept reservations. Camp units are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Water Activities
The lake offers visitors opportunities for all types of water activities. Choose among boating, kayaking, skiing, fishing, jet skiing and boating. Bring your own gear or head over to the Saguaro Lake Marina where you can rent kayaks, canoes, and boats. If you choose to fish, keep in mind that an Arizona fishing license is required.

Hiking
Experience beautiful lakeside hiking at Butcher Jones Trail at Saguaro Lake. Unlike other hikes in the Phoenix area, this trail is a nice break for those who consistently see only desert landscape on hikes. Butcher Jones travels around the eastern shore of the lake offering stunning views of the lake and canyon walls. Offering a relatively easy hike with few rocky patches, this is a great trail for kids, dogs and the hiking novice. Butcher Jones Trail is approximately five miles round-trip.

Those who choose to live at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club are just a quick drive to the lake as well as the many concerts, festivals and golf events that happen throughout the year in Phoenix.
