The Best Arizona Day Trips in the Snow

Location is key and one of the best things about our private golf course in Arizona, is that it's relatively close to everything Arizona has to offer, including the high country. If you’re itching to bundle up and enjoy the snow for a day, check out these great day trip getaways to play in the powder. 

In under just three hours, you can leave the desert behind and surround yourself with snowcapped mountains and pine trees as far as the eye can see in Flagstaff. Stroll through this mountain town, then take to the slopes! Arizona Snowbowl, one of the state’s most popular ski resorts, is home to some of the best snow conditions in the Southwest. The resort features two lodges with live music, dining and more. Snowbowl offers visitors impeccable views of northern Arizona. Additionally, plenty of smaller hills for sledding can be found in the surrounding areas.

Last, but certainly not least, enjoy a scenic three-hour drive south to Mount Lemmon, just outside Tucson, Arizona. Mount Lemmon’s snow conditions vary each year and may not be as consistent as the previous locations, however the view from the top is impeccable.  and you’ll find be another great snow location. Sunrise Ski Park, located in Greer, AZ and in the middle of the majestic White Mountains, Sunrise offers snowboarders and skiers a wide variety of trails from beginner to expert. Greer also offers small parks for cross country skiing, tubing, sledding and plenty of powder for building snowmen.
